Pointe Lachenal (3613m)

The Three Summits of Pointe Lachenal

The main summit being the right hand rocky peak with the classic traverse route going up the snow on the left and climbing rightwards along the ridge. There are some good short ice & mixed pitches which can be climbed on the central (2nd Pointe) and right hand (3rd Pointe) and the descent of the third is usually straightforward albeit exposed to the huge serac on Mt Blanc du Tacul above.
