On the last weekend the huts are open (mid September) of the summer 2013 season. Conditions remain good however on both routes and we arrange Paradiso trips throughout the autumn (on foot) and in the spring (on skis).

'The Stables!' The Winter Refuges At The Vittorio Emanuelle Hut

A comfortable base, especially if the hut is quiet and you can use the first stable which has the wood burning stove in! There are lots of beds & blankets in the other stables but you need to take stove, gas, pan and your food etc.

Sun Rise Beyond The Vittorio Emanuelle Hut

The winter stables are just visible on the left of the picture. The main hut is closed during the autumn & winter seasons but there are plenty of beds in the stables which are left open when the main hut is closed.
