Latest News & 2026 Course Availability
We have made some changes to the way we run our Mont Blanc courses in 2026 and here is a quick summary of these developments along with a full list of training and summit programmes below…
- We now require our guests to have some existing mountaineering experience in addition to the existing requirement for great fitness. This is to give our teams a greater degree of safety and style for each ascent we make. This also helps you to make the most of your good fitness without the stress of learning new skills in an already extreme environment!
- So we encourage all our guests for Mont Blanc to either do some of our UK training weekends or climb some other alpine peaks and routes with us first.
- Due to both the effects of climate change, increasing risk of stone fall in the Grand Couloir in high summer and the popularity of the huts, we are moving our courses increasingly to the appealing fringes of the summer season. Climbing in late May / early June, September and October may be tougher than in high summer but the rewards are significant, check out our article on climbing Mont Blanc this October below.
- For private teams, who manage to get their own hut bookings at the public opening of the reservations website in early January, please get in touch and we can help with private guiding around your chosen dates.
Summer & Autumn 2026 Course Availability
- We have a few places still available for late May / early June, mid Sept and early and mid October
- Get in touch if you would like to be added to our summer 2026 waiting list incase of any cancellations

The last few steps…to the summit of Mont Blanc, in autumn.
Our Climb Mont Blanc & mountaineering courses are planned around the start and end of the main summer alpine climbing season and also run in to the early autumn. Although the challenge can be harder at these times of year, we prefer the slightly quieter, cooler, snowier conditions that often exist then. In addition, the stone fall risk in the Grand Couloir is often much lower than in the hot mid summer months.
- Our 6 day courses generally feature a 3 day training and acclimatisation phase, often with another major summit attempt
- For example you can choose a training climb featuring either the Gran Paradiso, Weissmies or Lagginhorn as well our very early season option & 3 day Mont Blanc training course
- We also run some Mont Blanc warm up phases that feature more technical terrain on a 1:2 guiding ratio and these give a great experience to those thinking about climbing the Matterhorn in the future.
- Our courses generally also feature a rest day between the training and summit periods, allowing you to recuperate, relax and enjoy some low altitude time in Chamonix before heading back in to the high mountains for the summit attempt
- We also generally climb early in the week and aim to avoid the busy Saturday night in huts and classic later in the week summit schedules. Combining this with the early and late season ascents often means the mountain & huts are less busy than in high summer
Our series of training weekends in the UK – Snowdonia & The Scottish Highlands are highly recommended and you can check the dates for those below the main Mont Blanc summit courses here:
