Calum Muskett

Hailing from North Wales, Calum is an MIC and aspirant mountain guide dividing his time between the mountains of Snowdonia and the sunny French valley of Samoens in the heart of the Alps. Calum loves to share his passion for the outdoors and has a real enthusiasm for all types of climbing.

So whilst he’s as happy cragging in the Llanberis Pass as he is on a committing alpine face, Calum specialises in technical alpine and big wall climbing and has travelled extensively repeating test-piece routes across Europe and America as well as establishing a number of new routes of his own. Outside of the main climbing season you can find Calum out kayaking, biking, skiing or planning the next adventure.

Despite his extremely high technical standard of climbing, Calum is a relaxed and cheerful figure and has been a popular figure on our UK Matterhorn training courses and we look forward to working with him more in the Alps when he becomes a full IFMGA guide.

We are all so grateful for the great job Calum, Chris and Tamsin did during our stay in Aviemore, we hope to see them again next time and hopefully do the Matterhorn with them.

Tobias, Aviemore Winter Weekend Matterhorn Training Feb 2017

Thank you very much to you and the guides for this fantastic, amazing, instructive weekend experience! The guides were great! The weather was like promised and as you wrote and can see, we all had a lot of fun as well. Would be Great to have the Session in April with them as well.  Thank you Tamsin, Chris and Culum!
Steve Law, Matterhorn Training Weekend, Snowdonia, September 2017
Had a great weekend with Rusty thanks. Awesome talk by Cal at Pete’s Eats on Saturday night. He’s legend! Looking at dates and stuff for 2018 now. Want to do Mont Blanc and then the Matterhorn and some more advanced Alpine training. Got the bug for climbing steeper stuff in big boots :o)
