Cancellations

That depends on the timing of your cancellation.   Where courses which are cancelled more than 3 months in advance, a full refund, less the non-refundable deposit, is available.  For courses cancelled 2-3 months in advance, a 50% refund is available and for courses cancelled less than 2 months in advance, no refund is available.

We strongly recommend all our guests take out robust cancellation insurance on their trip for this eventuality.  Regardless of the reason for cancellation, personal injury, bereavement, force majeur etc. we will require you to claim any lost course or guiding fees back via your travel insurance policy.  We have contracts with our guides meaning they will often need to be paid 100% of their guiding fee regardless of whether your actual course or private guiding takes place or not.

Deposit payments secure & confirm your booking and also mean we set up your course or private guiding in terms of creating a plan A itinerary, arranging an appropriate guide and planning & booking any necessary hut nights or other aspects of programming your course.  This service has already taken place regardless of whether you have to cancel at a later date and deposit payments are thus both non-refundable and non-transferable.
