Alpine Mountain Walking

Walking through the high alpine mountains is not only a simple pleasure it’s a great way of building good mountain endurance; leg muscles and building basic movement skills.  We specialise in guiding tough mountain walks in high mountain country and even with glacier crossings or technical passages.  A magnificent way to enjoy the Alps, Aravis, Fizz mountain ranges & great training for future mountaineering expeditions.

This is a superb high mountain walk from Zinal to the Tracuit Hut with great views of the surrounding Swiss Valais Giants. The Tracuit Hut then provides a fine Base Camp for the ascent of the Bishorn

Chamonix Acclimatisation Walks

Many of our guests on mountaineering courses arrive in the Chamonix Valley a few days early for some pre-course acclimatisation & superbly scenic mountain walking.  It’s a great way of maximising your experiences and being in good form for starting one of our high altitude mountaineering programmes.

Beautiful views of the Chamonix Valley & Mont Blanc from the Col de Balme route to the Albert Premier Hut.  An excellent acclimatisation walk for an overnight stay at 2700m but beware steep snow slopes which can cross the route in the summer season.
