We understand the balance between preparing & acclimatising well and saving enough energy for the long Mt Blanc summit day and this course not only gives another fine 4000m peak but also some sustained scrambling offering a good progression from the intro Alpine Mountaineering & Gran Paradiso programmes. It’s also a great option for folk wanting to climb Mont Blanc who perhaps also have an eye on a future ascent of the Matterhorn.
This is a tough late season ascent of Mont Blanc and whilst this can be very rewarding and is recommended for those fit enough to undertake the extra challenges, it’s worth noting these can be significant and please read our dedicated article on climbing outside the main summer season here.
